PHR series large portable Rockwell hardness tester (mold hardness tester)
Overview
* PHR large portable Rockwell hardness tester is the large size part of the PHR series portable Rockwell hardness tester. The instrument adopts the Rockwell hardness test principle, which complies with the Chinese standard GB/T230 and the American standard ASTM E18. The test accuracy is higher than that of the 150A desktop Rockwell hardness tester.
* PHR large portable Rockwell hardness tester is used to accurately test large and medium-sized molds, large forgings, steel castings, chilled cast iron, pearlitic malleable cast iron, shafts, rolls, pipes and other large mechanical components and large components on assembly equipment. It can test various large steel parts, copper, aluminum and other metal workpieces that are annealed, normalized, quenched and tempered, quenched, carburized, and induction quenched.
* The instrument uses a C-shaped support frame to smoothly fix the Rockwell test head on the surface of the workpiece. If you choose the advanced Rockwell hardness block, the accuracy of the instrument can reach ±1.0HRC.
* Compared with the Leeb hardness tester, which is widely used in the hardness test of large workpieces, this instrument has fewer factors that affect the test accuracy and does not require high surface finish of the workpiece. It meets the product standards of most workpieces without conversion. It is easy to be recognized in international trade and the test accuracy is several times higher. The appearance of this kind of instrument provides an important means for on-site rapid and accurate testing of the mechanical properties of large workpieces.
* The indentation of the instrument is small and the test speed is fast. It can be used as a non-destructive test for batch testing of finished or semi-finished workpieces.
* The Rockwell hardness value measured by the instrument can be easily converted into Brinell hardness value (HB) or tensile strength value (σb).

Instrument selection
The model of PHR series hardness tester is determined according to the maximum opening size of the instrument and the classification of Rockwell hardness tester/surface Rockwell hardness tester. The number after "PHR-" indicates the size of the opening (inch), the letter "S" indicates the surface Rockwell hardness tester, and the letter "ST" indicates the pipe surface Rockwell hardness tester. The user can choose the appropriate model of the instrument according to the size of the tested sample.
